PROFECTUS is carrying out an in-depth analysis of obstacles in early detection, early intervention and inclusion of children with disabilities in Montenegro.
The goals of analysis are:
- identification of obstacles in securing an early detection of children with disabilities and providing adequate methods of early prevention
- identification of obstacles in detection of children with disabilities, upon enrolling in a primary school, at the latest, and insurance of an individualised plan consistent with the needs, abilities and interests of the child
- identification of obstacles in intersectoral collaboration on the level of local governments in the area of education, social welfare and health
- development of recommendations for overcoming the obstacles at a national level with the goal of securing a comprehensive and quality inclusion for children with disabilities
In order to achieve the aforementioned goals, the PROFECTUS's experts will organise meetings with the representatives of the following institutions and organisations:
- Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Ministry of Health
- Department of Education
- Social Work centers
- Hospitals
- Health centers
- Parent's associations
- Day care centers
- Kindergartens
- Primary schools
- Commissions for guidance of children with disabilities
- Resource Centers
